Omala APC Cries Out Against The Use of Unpopular Candidates for Caretaker Chairmen

Concerned All Progressive Congress APC, Members in Omala LGA of Kogi state have warned against the use of unpopular and inexperienced candidates as heads and members of the proposed local government Caretaker committee members in the state.
Addressing a press conference in Lokoja, the spokesman of the group, Stephen Salifu said the action would further polarize members of the party, especially those who have worked in building the party.
Salifu said if such action is taken, the chances and popularity of the party in the local government, will be affected, disclosing that the said people penciled down are not grounded administratively and are not a true representation of the Omala APC.
While noting that that effort to unite the party should preoccupy the mind of the governor, described the party’s victory in the last governorship election as a collective effort, warned that using the unpopular candidates as a result of certain relationship, to be head of administration as a move that would be retrogressive to moving the administration in Local government areas forward.
While he described the governor as a good listener and manager of men and resources, he urged him to save the party from imminent danger by reconsidering the rumoured nomination of of the unpopular, inexperienced and controversial candidate whose acceptability, integrity, competence and capacity to move the party forward is zero.
The stakeholders advised that the governor can choose from other candidates who have already indicated interest or shop for a fresh candidate by consulting the part stakeholders from the local government.
The Concerned All Progressives Congress members in Omala LGA pledged their unalloyed support to the government of Governor Yahaya Bello and urged the governor to consider their observation for a better patronage of the party at the grassroot level.
