Engr. Ohere reminded them that Kogi citizens are known to be diligent, righteous and industrious people and as such, they must try to replicate same as representatives of the people within and without the Citadel of Learning.
He equally admonished them to entrench operation within the ambit of the law governing the institution.
Dr. Ohere vehemently beseeched them to eschew acts of examination malpractice; substance abuse; cultism; theft; violence; prostitution and other forms of social vices capable of giving the state a bad image.
Speaking on, he charged them to maintain high sense of synergy; love; and unity amongst all Kogi Indigenes via justice, equity and fair play in all their dealings, as being witnessed in the state under the detribalized Governor, Alh. Yahaya Bello who he described as a youth friendly and an exemplary Leader.
Adding his voice was the Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Prince Matthew Kolawole who visited the Honorable Special Adviser at the time of the courtesy call.
Recalling his days as a union leader in higher institution, the Speaker urged the student leaders to always dialogue instead of warring when student affairs call for concern.
He also implored them to shun cultism in the name of belonging to certain ungodly classes, and jettison the idea of “allowing the school to pass through them” as usually postulated by those that indulge, as that will only earn them rustication and bad repute.
Rt. Hon. Kolawole harped on the strong synergy between the legislative and executive arm of government in Kogi State owing to zero inter role conflict.
According to him, the frictionless coexistence of the two arms has brought about progressive implementation of policies and all round development under the leadership of *Governor Yahaya Bello* to the benefit of all citizens.
Earlier, the Vice President of the S.U.G, Comr. Faridat Suleiman in a mission statement revealed that, their visitation is informed on *Dr. Ohere’s* philanthropic gesture particularly the scholarship scheme which many Kogites schooling in University of Abuja are beneficiaries of.
